- chair yoga
I have been a yoga teacher since 2006 and a certified yoga therapist since 2013. My university studies in management, combined with a management position in the family business, caused me a lot of stress. This had a significant impact on my pace of life, which became frantic.
PRIVATE CONSULTATION – Therapeutic yoga (90 minutes)
“Therapeutic yoga is an approach that integrates the concepts and techniques of traditional yoga with Western medical knowledge. It aims at the holistic treatment of different kinds of psychological or somatic dysfunctions, ranging from back problems to emotional distress. In the yoga tradition, therapeutic yoga aims at an understanding of the human being as an integrated body-mind system that works best when in a state of dynamic equilibrium.” Dr. Georg Feuerstein, Ph. D.
Therapeutic yoga helps:
- Better manage stress and anxiety
- Improve sleep and reduce fatigue
- Relieve chronic pain (back, migraines, shoulders, muscular tension)
GROUP CLASSES – semi-private (45 to 90 minutes)
Organize a tailor-made class with friends, family, etc., for a special event or just for the pleasure of doing an activity together.
Determine the time, duration and even the place (specific areas).
A unique yoga method, adapted to our time, which has already proven itself in the United States and Canada. Each session is composed of postures (sitting or standing), breathing exercises and relaxation. At the end of the class, a short period is reserved for meditation. An effective way to learn to manage your emotions and stress on a daily basis.
Learn more about meditation, a simple and increasingly popular practice due to its many benefits for health and stress management. Explore different techniques to find the one that suits you best and allows you to integrate it into your daily life. Cultivate mindfulness through your meditative practice.
Hatha Yoga (dynamic yoga or relaxing yoga)
A tailor-made class. Breathing, postures and relaxation are integrated into each class. In accordance with the needs of the group, you will hold postures for several breaths to deepen the benefits and do sequences of postures that allow you to enter a meditative state through fluid movement.
I have been a yoga teacher since 2006 and a certified yoga therapist since 2013. My university studies in management, combined with a management position in the family business, caused me a lot of stress. This had a significant impact on my pace of life, which became frantic. My busy schedule made me feel like I was no longer taking time out. During a year spent working outside Quebec to advance my career, I began looking for techniques that could help me overcome the stress and anxiety that were now part of my life. Then Yoga came into my life and completely transformed it. The benefits manifested themselves right from the first class.
Over the years, this practice has become a real way of life. Yoga has this extraordinary advantage of adapting to the individual, rather than the other way around. I like to integrate yoga according to my needs in the moment, sometimes by practising more postures, sometimes by having a more rigorous meditation practice. Thanks to this new way of life, I enjoy and appreciate the present moment more and more.
When I experience more stressful times, I feel better equipped to deal with them. My years of teaching experience have reinforced my belief that these techniques can provide everyone with tools to find calm and serenity in their daily lives.
Today, I’m dedicated to my businesses, ZEN & CIE, which offers wellness services in the workplace, and ESPACE ZEN, where I offer private consultations. Therapeutic yoga is a discipline that deals with the human being as a whole and does not focus solely on the symptoms experienced; we thus obtain a global result. Using the yoga techniques that are suggested to you based on a problem experienced, you will be able to develop your own tools for relaxation, and integrate them at the right moment. This will help you to feel in control of your health.
I truly believe that appreciating the simplicity of the present moment is the most beautiful gift!
